Along the way, Steve recounts the myriad of lessons learned, the ups-and-downs, missed opportunities and successful techniques honed while striving to be the best leader he could be in the challenging world of corrugated packaging. He will also share insights into how he developed a successful process of targeting and differentiating between true and false bottlenecks and their relationship to employees, customers, safety, quality and productivity. Steve will conclude his remarks with the industry challenges and opportunities he sees on the horizon, as well as some personal career wisdom on being the best leader you can be. Steve began his fulltime professional career in 1979 at Container Corporation of America, and throughout his many years of service also worked at Gaylord Container, Temple Inland, International Paper, Weyerhauser, Jefferson Smurfit, and WestRock. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Murray State University and currently resides in Spokane, WA. |
