Matt Peerboom, General Manager, Container Division
With 22 years of increasing responsibility with Longview Fibre Paper and Packaging, Inc., Mr. Peerboom has served as a key leader through the company's transformation into a high-performing organization. Appointed as general manager of the container division in April 2009, he currently supervises 650 employees with production operations at seven corrugated converting facilities in four western states. He joined Longview in July 1989 and has served in a variety of roles at one of the largest pulp and paper mills in the world. He has led several strategic initiatives relating to supply chain management, production, mill logistics and human resource management. Mr. Peerboom's experience includes company sponsored leadership development, negotiations and succession planning programs. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Oregon State University, with a concentration in human resource management and industrial relations.
